Is Gran Turismo 5 Any Good?

I would not really ever be happy in saying that a Sony exclusive game would be the best game of any kind of genre and yes I do own a PS3, but this game is actually very good indeed!. Crack out those Audi lease cars as well as lease vans this game is out and is ready to rock and roll.

Some Of The Good Things

The damage model which they have only brought into this game is something that people have been after for years and this all depends on whether you are driving a premium vehicle or not. Something else that has come in is the weather effects but only on certain tracks. New visuals have been brought into the game such as dynamic skid marks, dust and drivers can flash their headlights too, all pretty cool stuff.

Something else to consider when it comes to this is that the game features around 71 tracks and 1,031 cars, it is also to be noted that Bugatti and Lamborghini are in the game now!! There are of course downsides to this game.

The Major Negatives

The AI (like all other games in the franchise) are terrible and will break for no reason at all when you are there not knowing that there is a human controlled player present. I am not a big fan of the damage model either as you have to have smashed the car up several times in some bad crashes before it makes a difference to the look of the car. The course maker does not let you do anything from scratch but only allows you to edit random generated tracks.

It also seems that a lot of the cars lack cockpit views and the tracks have not got as much detail in them as the cars.

So although this is a good game, typical to Sony, there are many issues with the game. Check out car leasing UK as an option if you wish to get a car.
